The Coming Purple Line Extension
The Purple Line Extension, approved in 2008, is now under construction as well. This new line will bring the Metro from the Wilshire/Western terminal through more of the Westside, including:
- Beverly Hills
- Century City
- Westwood
The new extension will speed up travel into LA. It’s expected to take about 19 minutes to travel from the Century City Station to the heart of downtown L.A.
