There are so many things to love about living on the Westside that picking just one seems impossible. As I contemplated this, my stomach rumbled, reminding me it was time for some lunch, and that is when it hit me. One of my favorite things about the Westside is the wide variety of restaurants. In fact, Culver City has become a food destination for residents and tourists alike.
No matter what you are hoping to find, Culver City has it. Cultural diversity? Check. Fresh seafood? Check. Budget dining? Check. Upscale experience? Check. Street vendors? Check. Nationally recognized chefs? Check. It’s all here!
Here are a few of my favorites.
Danish Pastries at Copenhagen Pastry
No one can pass by Copenhagen Pastry without stopping to taste one of the amazing samples. Once you do, you’re sure to make a purchase from their case filled with cinnamon rolls, kringle, and nougat crowns. If you’re running short on time, never fear! Simply order online and pick up at the shop.

Indian Food at Mayura
Don’t let the strip mall location fool you. Mayura is one of the best Indian restaurants in the Los Angeles area. The food is so authentic that the owner brings in the spices straight from farms in India. Whether you looking for dosa, curries, or iddly, then Mayura is where you should head.

Street Vendor Hot Dogs at Let’s Be Frank
Want a fast but fabulous meal? Let’s Be Frank offers the California grass-fed beef Frank Dog and the mix of grass-fed beef and heritage pork T-Mutt Dog from a vendor’s cart. Even vegans can try a dog called the “Not” Dog. Sauces and additions make for a tasty variety.

Tropical Delights at A-Frame
Serving Hawaiian food, the A-frame is sure to delight. Whether you pick an old favorite like baby back ribs in hoisin-chili glaze or a newer addition like the double Kimcheeseburger, you can’t go wrong. And be sure to hit Luau Hour at 5pm and after 10pm on weekends for discounted cocktails and amazing appetizers.

Of course, there are more. Hundreds more. If you ever wonder, “What’s for dinner?” but have no answers, venture out to see what the Westside has to offer. Or, give me a call, and I’ll tell you about my latest favorite!
